That is so sad lol.
…and thank God I was schooled in England too!
Who is the poor reflection on American intellect in the top picture? And I’m guessing the guys in the bottom are in a band.
That’s Chelsea Handler, and she’s a comedienne, so she may have been trying to be funny with that statement.
whether she was trying for a joke or not the fact that 9 out of 10 people in this country couldn’t find 9 out of 10 countries on an unlabeled map says a LOT! it’s so sad to hear European or Canadian people talk about current issues, they actually know whats going on in their country and the world! 90% of the people here are completely clueless, i don’t know a single other person who even knows whats happening in Syria right now…let alone where it is on a globe! makes for a lot of boring conversations, just sports and reality TV, that’s all anybody cares about…
Well said, Seth.
This is the way most Americans think when asked to explain countries on a map: http://www.ritholtz.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/world-accordign-to-USA.jpg
LoL…you know what is sad, Jeff, when I looked at the map (above) I laughed because I knew the names of the countries displayed just by their descriptions. Sadly, some Americans don’t even know THAT much lol. I learned about other countries when I lived in England…and I was 10!
…except they are really off on their description of England…if that is, in fact “England” (which is geographically drawn in the wrong place) lol
Idk. I know my world geography pretty well, and I was schooled in the US. The funny thing about this is that I’m moving to Nicaragua next month.
whether she was trying to be funny or not, the dudes had a point, as an example…do you really think comedian is spelled “comedienne”? ^^^that’s really sad, read a book sometime!
